Never a Doubt

If Colton ever has a doubt that Sophia is crazy about him, he can just watch this little clip. Tonight was a really fun night, Sophia, Fletcher, Colton, Kameryn, and Nic all met up and played in the creek near our house. Prior to everyone coming over I video taped our kids playing. Sophia was really excited that Colton was coming over. She loves him to death. After all of the playing and splashing, Sophia, Colton, Fletcher, and Kameryn were all thrown in the tub together. I definately had a ring around the tub tonight.

Sleepy Head

This is living proof that every 2 year old needs a nap! I taped this when Sophia was 2 and we were trying to potty train her. She refused to nap and was so exhausted that she was falling asleep while sitting on her little potty. I feel bad putting video of her on the potty on my blog but it is just so funny that I could not resist. Some day I am sure she will get me back for all of this.

I think everyone at my house is a little crabby today. Sophia needed to nap BADLY. Preschool is starting to wear off on her and she now requires a nap at noon. Fletcher was long over due for his nap but with everything going on this morning he was just going to have to wait. I am crabby because in the last two days I have had ZERO fat in my diet and I think my body is rebelling. So far today I have had
1 bowl of cheerios (claims to lower cholesterol 4% in 6 weeks)
1 granny smith apple
1 mushroom veggie burger with lettuce and tomato on a white bun (sounds gross but acutally good)
and water to drink......AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH This blows!!!!

I need chips and cheese and pop!!!!!!
Again this is why I have high cholesterol to begin with. Did I mention that I pushed a double stroller two miles to the playground this morning. I think I have more of a chance of sending my body into shock from all of this healthyness than actually having a heart attack.

Getting crazy in the creek

This morning was pretty fun. I have recovered from the shock of my high cholesterol and I ate some cheerios this morning. I then took Sophia and Fletcher on a walk to Wheeling Park. They played for about 30 minutes and then we walked home. It was about a 2 mile walk and pushing the double stroller made it feel like 10 miles. I think that should count as my 30 minutes of excercise for today. After we came home Sophia wanted Colton to come over so we gave him a call and Ashley was able to drop him off. We took the kids down to the creek to "fish" with Sophia's Barbie fishing pole. They were interested in that for about 10 seconds and then decided they would just throw rocks. Fletcher managed to wade into the creek and of course Sophia and Colton followed. James left me half way through to go do some work at his parents house, so I was left with 3 soaking wet kids. We walked back to our house and everyone had a popsicle and I managed to find some clothes for Colton that were not 10 sizes to small. Sophia became pretty moody and I thought at one point she was going to punch Colton. Sophia has become used to napping at school and I think she was just tired. Sorry Ashley I should not be making excuses for my daughter yelling at Colton! All in all a good time was had by next time Sophia will be a little nicer. Colton please give her another chance......TO BE CONTINUED.

I just had some blood work done. It was just supposed to be routine blood work nothing fancy, just to make sure I was ok. Well it turns out my cholesterol is sky high. It is 313. It should be 150. YIKES !!!! I never in a million years ever thought I would have high cholesterol. In order to correct this huge problem I have to completely change my diet and start excercising everyday. YIPEEEE!!!!! Fletcher and I went to Krogers after my appointment and I bought some super healthy food. Did I mention I had to give up butter, margarine, cheese, anything fried, and oil......hmmmmm basically that leaves fruits, vegetables, tofu, and chicken. YUMMMYYYYY!!!! So for lunch today I had a mushroom veggie burger, some pretzels, and a glass of water. I am now waiting for Fletcher to go to sleep so I can go use the eliptical trainer that we bought that I normally use as a coat rack. Someone please check on my in about an hour and make sure I have not had a heart attack!

Fletcher's big day

Sophia went to preschool today and Fletcher and I had the whole day to ourselves. We went to the playground around 9:30 and met Kim and Nic. The boys had a good time running around and throwing balls all over the playground. Afterwards we went to the Highlands and had a crazy experience with some disgusting jelly beans. I don't know if anyone has ever had a vomit flavored jelly bean or not, but they are gross. If you are wondering what I am talking about check out Books A Million's coffee shop and grab the crazy Jelly Belly's. They come in mystery flavors such as ear wax, booger, baby wipe, vomit, rotten egg (Nic's favorite), and black pepper. The boys reaction to the Jelly Belly's was priceless. After Books A Million we headed to Michael's for some arts and craft shopping. All in all everyone had a great time. Fletcher started to miss Sophia when we got home. He kept saying," Where Ya-Ya (his name for Sophia) Where Ya-Ya?" then he would answer himself and say," I no no" (his version of I don't know). He was so cute. We finally went to pick up Sophia and Fletcher was thrilled. He actually cried tonight when she would not hug him. I GUESS THEY REALLY DO CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER. Who knew.

Sophia goes to school

Today was her first day of preschool. She was so excited this morning, I don't think she put down her lunch box until she got to school. I dropped her off at 8:00am and she seemed a little nervous but there were no tears (hers or mine). I was really worried about her eating and napping since these seem to be her least favorite things to do. I picked her up at 3:00pm and the teacher told me she napped for about 30 minutes and ate lunch. She even went to whole day using the potty. It was a miracle. She is excited to go back on Thursday!

Sophia is starting pre school !

Sophia is so grown up. I cannot believe that tommorow she will be going to preschool. She is so excited to go but it is so hard to believe that she is such a little lady. Today we went to the playground and Sophia was able to meet a new friend who will also being going to school with her. Her name is Anna and she was adorable. Sophia, Colton, and Anna had a really good time together. Sophia was talking about going to the park with her friends all day. She is always asking me when her friends can come over. She has a social life and she is only 3 years old. I know that preschool will be great for her, she cannot wait to meet the kids and have more friends to play with. She is a little sad that Colton is not going to her school. Sophia and Colton are buddies. Tommorow will be an exciting day. I keep telling myself that I am excited for her to go to school but I am a little worried that I will be the one crying and not Sophia. I will have to let you know tommorow........

A Family Affair

Last weekend was James's family reunion. They have one every year at the shelter near a ballpark/playground in Bethlehem. The kids enjoyed themselves and the endless supply of cookies and cupcakes was a definate plus. James and I had a pretty good time too. They took a group picture but we did not get one yet so these were the pics that I took. Most of them are only of my kids because I think my kids are awesome!!!! LOL. Anyways I will post the group pic when I get a copy of it. Fletcher was making a great face when he was sitting on Nanny Vopals lap and Sophia and Uncle Ed made a cute pair. Overall a good time was had by all.
