Sophia finally decided to wear her Easter bonnet. Grandma and Pap gave Sophia an easter basket that had a hat and purse but on easter she would not wear the hat. Yesterday I walked into the living room and she had the hat on and was carrying the purse. It was kinda funny because Grandma hates snakes and Sophia had the purse full of plastic snakes. Today is toddler art class, picture will be coming soon of the masterpieces Sophia has made.

Bunny Time

Oh so much has been going on lately we are so busy. Easter has come and gone and it was so exciting for the kids. Sophia had a great time. Fletcher went to an egg hunt at the zoo, and we all went to an egg hunt at another families house in St Clairsville. We have had a really nice holiday. I recently joined which has been exciting. I have met some other moms who are really fun and nice. They have adorable kids that are close in age to both Sophia and Fletcher. Sophia has started toddler art class which she loves (pictures soon to come). She goes this week and I will be snapping pictures left and right. We are planning on doing some swimming and playground things this week so hopefully we are going to have a fun week.

Backstage pass to the Zoo

Sophia had a great time at the zoo this week. Thanks to Uncle Christopher and his girlfriend Mallory, who both work at the zoo, Sophia was able to pet some of the smaller animals. She was extremely excited and ran through the entire zoo. She was able to pet a hedgehog, bunny, alligator, ferret, and a bird sat on her shoulder. She came face to face with the pig and with some goats. It was really nice outside and Sophia and James had a great time together.

Yee Haw

Today was Sophia's first pony ride. She got to go to the Oglebay Park Horse Stables and ride a small pony named Wiley. She was really excited and would not quit talking about riding the pony. She put on her helmet and she wore her red boots and away she went. She looked a little scared at first but she loosened up pretty quickly. It was chilly outside so she rode the pony inside and then posed for some pictures outside. She rode for about 15 minutes which was plenty long enough and then she got to take a tour of the barn and see all of the big horses. Fletcher watched from the sidelines but next year he will get to ride. He did like seeing the horses in the barn. I am sure this will be the first of many pony rides.

Construction Zone

Today we went to the Children's Museum. The kids were having a great time, there were lots of people there to play with and even Fletcher was off exploring. Now that he can walk he seems to like going places alot more. Sophia was really into the construction stuff today and she wanted Fletcher to play with her. He was not to sure about the hard hat but he seemed to like the blocks. They also played in the pretend grocery store, they have really neat pretend food, it looks real. The weather has turned cold again and so we are back to indoor activities for a while. Next week when James is on spring break we are going to venture to Pittsburgh and maybe visit the zoo and the national aviary.....I am pretty excited.

Our Day at the Park

Today was such a nice day that we decided to take advantage of the weather and head to the park. After eating lunch with Aunt Tammi we went to Wheeling Park. It was about 75 degrees outside and the weather was perfect. Sophia loves the playground and with a little coaching Fletcher was having a great time. It was Fletchers first time on swings and he thought they were really fun. He was laughing and having a good time. Sophia got to see ducks and she went down the slide about a million times. James was able to meet us on his way home from work and he pushed the kids on the swings and took some pictures of Sophia on the slide. I cannot wait for some more nice days so we can go again. Unfortunately tomorrow looks like rain, I guess we will have to figure out something to do inside for now.

Finally Some Sun

Finally we had a little nice weather that allowed us to get out of the house. Fletcher and Sophia have both been sick and crabby but today brightened their moods. Sophia was able to ride her tricycle that Nana got for her for Christmas. Fletcher tried his hand at chalk and even took a spin on the tricycle. James and I were also able to try out our new camera. It was nice to be able to get out I was feeling like we were all suffering from cabin fever. Hopefully there will be more nice days to come we are ready for some warmer weather.
